Shiv Raj Kapur, an Honours Graduate in Commerce, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP). With many years of professional experience, he possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise. This places him in an exceptional position to provide valuable insights into working conditions, procedural intricacies and commercial requirements.

Apart from his professional career, Shiv Raj Kapur is actively involved in patient support groups as a Patient Ambassador. He was one of the founding members of the Colorectal Cancer Support Group (CCGS) at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and a co-founder and first president of the Ostomy Association of Singapore (OAS).

In recognition of his contributions and dedicated voluntary services, he was conferred the Singapore Health Inspirational Patient Award in 2013 by SingHealth. He was also nominated by SGH for the PS21 Star Customer Award which he received from the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Teo Chee Hean. He has also received several Certificates of Appreciation and Long Service Awards for his voluntary services with Singapore General Hospital, Changi General Hospital, Singapore Cancer Society and the Changi Simei Community Sports Network.
